I'm a grandmother and a farmer's wife. We live on the land and have always enjoyed the openness and beauty of the countryside we call home, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.  We thoroughly enjoy being farm based entrepreneurs sourcing natural products grown from the land. We have had many challenges and success stories in developing our sought after products and growing the Country Culinaire business,  products that you now can have the pleasure of enjoying in your own home.

When farming was becoming increasingly difficult and at that time was our main enterprise we decided to join one of the first farmers markets in New Zealand, I had previous expertise in gourmet catering at a commercial level and decided that it would be nice if the rest of New Zealand could share the Country Culinaire gourmet delights.  The farmers market was a success and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to research and test their own creations.

Each weekend we would go to the Farmers Market in Hastings in a lovely setting with a few products to sell, made using the freshest of ingredients.  Within a couple of years, we outgrew the farm kitchen, and so we found a little place in Hastings and set up Country Culinaire commercially. We started selling to supermarkets and Country Culinaire has been steadily growing. In 2010 we moved premises again to a larger facility and this has enabled Country Culinaire to add a new product line, Gourmet Ice Cream and now have room in our factory to expand the markets for our existing products

Our team are all ‘foodies’ and we know you will love our gourmet ice cream creations, they are exceptional in taste, the packaging is innovative. Enjoy a Country Culinaire product at your next dinner party or have ice cream for dessert tonight!

Country Culinaire now exports products to Australia and we know you will enjoy the same products locally at home. We have won many food and packaging awards and hope to continue our success. We use only the freshest of ingredients, I like to ensure we maintain a high standard in production, we don’t use preservatives and our products are consistently sought after, just as they were when we were in our registered kitchen on the farm and selling at the local farmers market.
