STICKY DATE PUDDING PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS


Important - Serve Sticky Date Pudding 'piping hot'.  

DO NOT pour sauce onto Sticky Date Pudding before heating in the paper container.


To heat in oven from frozen: (Microwave instructions follow below)

  • Heat oven to 170 degrees celsius.
  • Remove dessert from plastic bag.
  • Place a piece of foil lightly over the top of the dessert container.
  • Place in oven for 30 minutes.

Heat Sauce - in a saucepan over very light heat. Just bring to a simmer.
Only needs to get hot. Do not boil.

To serve

  • Run a knife around the dessert or tear down the corners.
  • Cover with a piece of foil.
  • Turn upside down on your hand/wrist or tip on it's side.
  • Remove paper from bottom of the dessert.
  • Turn back, place on serving plate.
  • When serving, pour over a little hot sauce - 40mls per portion.
  • Serve with your favourite vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream.

To heat in microwave - thaw first - (serve 'piping hot')

  • Run a knife around the dessert, or tear down the corners.
  • Cover with a piece of Baking Paper.
  • Turn upside down on your hand/wrist, or tip on its side.
  • Remove paper from bottom of the dessert.
  • Turn back, place on a serving plate to fit your microwave.
  • Leave whole or cut into portions, if in portions place them around serving plate.
  • For whole dessert - heat on med/high for approx. 4 minutes.
  • For each portion heat on med/high for approx. 1 minute.
  • Serve with sauce - pour into a microwave proof jug and heat for approx. 2 minutes on med/high.
  • Or spread a large spoonful (40mls) of sauce over each portion.

To heat by portion from frozen in microwave - serve 'piping hot'.

  • Cut a slice of pudding, Place on a dessert plate.
  • Take a large spoonful (40mls) of sauce and spread out on top of each portion.
  • Place in microwave and heat for approx. 1 minute 30 seconds on med/high.
  • Return rest of pudding and sauce to freezer for another time.
  • Serve with your favourite vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream.
