Our favourite Grandmother and doyenne of luxury desserts has launched the ultimate traditional, luxury Christmas Pudding.
Christmas pudding is part of the festive season that many of us can’t do without. If you don't have the time or patience to make a
homemade Christmas pudding, a traditional Country Culinaire Christmas Pudding is a delicious option. It comes frozen, festively
packaged and tastes as home-made as it looks - beautifully moist, with luscious, plump rich fruit. It has delicious aromas of fragrant
spice, and a sweetness which is balanced by a touch of alcohol. Each mouthful is oozing with decadence - you won’t believe it until you try it.
Two or four individually wrapped, 135gm puddings are accompanied with a yummy brandy sauce (in a convenient sachet) and boxed in an
attractive Country Culinaire carton. Puddings can be defrosted a few days before Christmas, then microwaved in seconds, or heated
in a traditional oven (approx. 25 minutes). For a bit of Christmas theatre you can flambe’ the pudding, (Heating and flambe’ instructions are included.)
Interesting facts about the history of the Christmas Pudding.
Christmas pudding has been a feature of the Christmas table since the 16th century, when it was known as Plum Pudding, due to prunes being the main ingredient. Around
the mid 1830's the name was changed to Christmas pudding, which has remained ever since.
